Aspire Medical Staffing  is recruiting for a full-time permanent board certified/board eligible physician in Cardiac Electrophysiologists to provide services at the  Audie L Murphy VA Medical Center. 

Location:  Audie L Murphy VA Medical Center, 7400 Merton Minter Street, San Antonio, TX 78229-4404

Pay:  Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

• Performs inpatient or outpatient cardiovascular consultation services.

• Support of general cardiology service.

• Reviews physical requirements and conducts physical examination of various categories of military and civilian personnel.

• Serves as academic faculty for cardiovascular fellowship training program.

• Provides medical consultative services and chart review for quality assurance purposes or risk management.

• US Citizenship

• Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.

• Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

• Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.  Note: Certification must be presented prior to entering on duty.

• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.  Note: Copy of current certification must be provided prior to entering on duty.
